hey again mel,
yeah, i've found my whites to suit me jest fine for now.  when i bought it, i wasn't sure how into the hobby i was going to be or how much free time i would have to do some hunting,  so i set my budget right around $300.00 and felt the coin master series would suit my needs just fine.  luckily i guess u could say i'm hooked, and i try to get out as much as i can, mostly just on weekends or after work if i have a short day.  To answer your question about my house, yes it is a little bit older.  built in 1934, and my back yard borders a school yard which i've been told the school was built around 1900 or so.  I haven't actually stepped foot in the school yard with my machine yet though a couple years ago i was woken up by an old man swinging around an interesting looking thing which made very loud obnoxious beeping noises.
(back then i didn't know too much about metal detectors).  Let me know if you would be interested in searching the school yard on my maiden voyage, would love to have the company.

Josh,

You should hit the school, lots of trash but I find lots of rings at school yards. Have been hunting one here on pines road for 2 years now, tons of pennies, loads of junk, 5 silver jewlery items, and one 1937 quarter so far. If you do not have one yet, get head phones, they help a lot. If your school is that old, gonna be some good stuff yet to be dug up. If you do hunt it, be ready for a lot of metal pencil tops. Hit me on a private e-mail thru this site. I have a very good site on the river we can go to. the school sounds like a good place to hunt.

Mel

Josh, Mel-

The winter is coming on really fast, so let's get out this weekend. Now that I have a bit more swing time under my belt I say we all three get together and tag team a place (park, homestead, something, anything!). I have been working my ass off all summer and now I need some get away time. I am sending you both PM's with my phone number.

Cheers

Sean

Welcome, just back from a long fishing trip over at La Push. I am going to be going dredging here soon, maybe we can get together and do some prospecting together.

Cheers

Sean
