I think we need another candidate----E.P. Scarlett High School didn't open until 1970 and is named after a man who was born in 1896---which would make '14 improbable as a date   ref---

Just a guess here, Johnnn. The letters K.P.S. may stand for K[something] Primary School, which was a common acronym used in the era of the early 1900s. The size makes me think it's a child's ring.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Hi G D,
This one is tough, I have seen all sorts of things pick up their true I D at this page
You get some strange responses when you type in those initials and being found right along the Can / US border meens it could be from the U S, so its harder to figure out, thanks for all your opinions one of them could be right...HH...Johnnn

We're not giving up yet.   Fortunately, the design is rather unique which should help.....and from the amount of wear on it, I'd say it had been worn for a while before it was lost.   (and it might not be Canadian or American....it could have been lost by an English immigrant---though that is less likely than either of the other two scenarios)

It must be something Brare Rabbit lost as only he could live in those kind of bushes.  Unless a bi-plane pilot was showing off and the lady in the back while upside down lost it?  But the tri-angle reminds me of esoteric symbology the Masons use [like the pyrimid on the back of a US dollar bill].  Could this be a Masonic membership item of 1914?

Hi Outback,
I have some buddies who are mason's I never thought to ask them so I can check that out.
Birks is a name I see often on the back of my WW1 military badges "see below"
dated 1912 / through 1918 they have been around for some time.

They may tell you or not, all their secrets and such, I found a triangular shaped medallion once, it had a letter on each tip of the triangle, turned out to be a scottish rites medallion.
