Hi all. Not too many days left for MDing in Chicago, if any, but in my last hunt I found this car's gas cap. Can anyone ID the car's make/model it might belonged to? I can take more pics if so needed.

That cap could come from a number of older cars.  Universal.

I was told that it is rather a radiator cap because of the rubber gasket. Gasoline would dissolve the gasket. At least an outside cap I think.

I did a quick search on ebay motors for vintage radiator cap and did not find any matches. You might check back there its actually a pretty good resource.

Silly question: Since this is probably an original part, is it worthwhile to restore for resale purposes?

Definitely NOT a gas cap, it's a radiator cap. I knew that just from the thumbnail of the second picture, going by the quality of the finish, i would say it was a visible part of the car. But which Type is way beyond me.
