I didn't see any reviews for the M6 so I'll give one.
The M6 is a turn on and go detector with real good depth. I recently recovered a merc at over 8 inches and it gave a good repeatable signal in all directions. The 7 tone ID feature is nice and with the desc. set at min. you hear iron (low tone) so you know when to slow down and listen for any mid to high tones for something good close to it. It has extremely fast recovery. Beach mode works very well and you can hunt right to and beyond the water line. When beach huntung I prefer to lock the ground track half balanced to get more depth (although noisy... turn on, pump once, then lock). The M6 is not a threashold detector...it runs quiet until you near a target. In my Florida sand I run the M6 at max sens. and when not at the beach I lock the track before I turn it on. There is no guessing or wondering if your running the right settings program. The coils for the M6 also work on the MXT, DFX, and V3 so if later you decide you want a detector with more features you won't have to shell out for more coils. The 4x6 DD is killer in the tot-lots around playground equipment, fences, bleachers, and sidewalks. The 4x6 detects surprisingly deep as well. It runs at 15 khz which is more sensative to small gold and a nickel doesn't have a chance of excape. The target ID system includes a VDI number, a label, and a confidence bar as well as the tone ID. All in all one of the finest detectors made and will run with the big dogs.
