This was found in my home town in the Netherlands. I didn't know at the time how deadly it could be. I learned that it is armed and ready to explode if driven over or dropped. It is now in the hands of the proper authorities.

Looking at the picture is as close as I want to get to one of those.   Glad it is safely disposed of now.

Whew..... that was a close one. Was it very deep? By the size of it, maybe a vehicle or tank...... pressure type mine.?

A person walking over a mine like that would not set it off. It's an anti-tank mine. A car could set it off though, especially if it's an old one which has had it's casing weakened by rust. You did the best thing though in reporting it.

Whoever laid it, should have taken it back up. Proper legit Armies have mine field 'maps'.
