Minelabs E-Trac, Excalaber II - 10"

Hello - I just joined this site. I live on Saipan which is covered with reminders of the battles of WW2. I'm looking for suggestions. I have access to all the areas inside the airport fenced area due to my job. The place was a large Japanese field before the USA took it from them. I've located maps that show where the Japanese building were located. I believe there should be old coins in and around these areas. I'm also sure there will be lots of junk iron to make detecting difficult. I just ordered a Minelabs E-Trac for the land searches and the Excalibur II/10" for beach searches.
I'm new to detecting and looking forward to information and suggestions for people that have experience.
Thanks for any input - Dave on Saipan

Hi Dave. Welcome from Connecticut. I had a friend who detected on Marcus. Just watch and be careful of the buried ordinance. Should be some neat stuff!!

Hi Dave,
I might be visiting Saipan next month for a scouting trip for a TV show based on ww2 relics, and I am looking to make contact with ww2 enthusiasts who live there.

Could you kindly give me an email, so I can can ask you a few questions? I'd really appreciate your input.

mitchell_craig@hotmail.com

Thanks mate, Craig
