Hello there!
Does gold emit an ?aura??
Now that depends on what is meant specifically by 'aura'.
I suspect what is implied is a 'radiated frequency'
Those being the kind of phenomena that ?long range locaters? are supposed to 'sense'.
The principle of LRL?s being that they 'receive' a specific 'NMR' (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) frequency that is 'radiated' by the metal involved, when 'stimulated' by a varying magnetic field.
The scientific principle is correct,.....but the LRL's attempted application of that principle, I suspect is flawed.
I have never used an LRL, but I am a physics/electronics engineer and understand the subject of NMR.
I?ve been metal detecting for what seems like a 1000 years, but haven?t met an LRL user/owner.
Out there, are tons of mythical crap on the subject of metal detecting, obviously generated by well meaning ?experts? who are ignorant of the science involved.
We are all continuously learning, (and making mistakes,) so it is important that those who are interested in what makes the ?wheels go ?round?, should be willing to do a little studying of the basic principles involved.
Good hunting?.MattR.UK
