the very simple bring those rocks to laboratory and let the experts checks those rocks if those were markers or man made. just pay them. and you have reliable info about your rocks. don't worry they will not laugh if you pay their work.

ram,

dont worry ram, if those photos would still not convince you. no worries no harm done. im just sticking to my thread about japanese stone markers. you dont need to be concerned if it dont mean anything to you. but for those  people that they think it is informative to them, that is there gain.
i would not want to bring those stones to the assayer. those stones has good archeologic value to me.

So I far I have encountered such rocks during my treasure hunting days but they are actually not Japanese markers but naturally weathered rocks whose markings were done by roots of trees and of other rocks. I have seen Japanese markers and they are expressed in symbols, numbers and words. For those kind of markers you will find them all over that places, some sort of diversion. The Japanese markings are deep imbedded in big rocks that can't be carried by 5 persons.I have seen 2 and I have recorded it with a sony handicam still it maybe a diversionary matter. Still the best way is to scour the area with detector & pray to hit the gold....Happy hunting!!!

I would walk 100 yards from the direction of the "foot marker rock" stop.... Turn to the east and dig down around 50 ' to 100  '. Bet that's what one of the rock markers mean. Good luck and happy hunting! :Smiley

i would  like to try that brenda one of these days. hope it will lead me to something! one good cardio. hehehe

Boyet,

very good picture of stone marking.  Try to picture out the trail sign usually the arrow (comes in many forms).  Most of the markers have connection.

You know the signs go to the code.  The jap is looking at the object. There is an angle of the fish marked stone like a crook also.  Anyway they are all connected water animals.  The sign of under is also clear.
