Can you make it a little later than that?  My funds are tied up in gem detectors and Kenyan/Liberian banking until at least 2040.

The Japanese raided and stole all the gold from 13 Asian countries, during WWII and because they controlled the Philippines, most of the gold was brought here and buried in deep bunkers in 175 different locations. The evidence of this can be seen in the book Gold Warriors, by Sterling and Peggy Seagraves

I am highly suspect of this information.    It goes against the Japanese culture.   Everything belonged to the Emperor in the Japanese code of the time.  Even the rifles carried by Japanese troops bore the stamping of the Chrysanthemum Throne, meaning the rifle belonged to the Emperor and was merely loaned to the soldier.

I do honestly believe any gold taken by Japanese troops would have been shipped to Japan posthaste, not buried in a land  teeming with hostile people.   It was not the Japanese way to hold out on the Emperor.

As far as any gold taken from the Philippines, well I doubt there was any in any worthwhile amounts.   What the Spanish didn't get during their occupation, the Americans would have.

Yea most of the gold was going back to Japan for the war. But it is possible that some is still in the Philippines.
