nice to see you here. okay, this is the interpretation of your map....

stand here facing east, go north then go west. climb north then close your eyes and step backward. dig 500 feet below the ground and bingo! you will see the items. just follow this if you want to waste your time and money.

It is definitely written in Chinese characters. It's the old style Mandarin not Pinyin (most people use Pinyin today). If you have a University locally, check with them to see if they teach Chinese Mandarin. Looks interesting though.
