there are 3 kinds of footmarker [which MAYBE bob curtis unaware of]
a left foot :right foot and both feet are all markers with different meaning salvor6.

depends on how the foot looks like...coz it may mean "end of trail" or "5 yards to the right". hope I've been of help...good luck!!!

just an addendum to my reply...the meaning probably depends on where you found the footmark (country, japanese treasure/japanese code)...we found one, left foot with toes, etched on a flat rock, the size is about the same as an average foot...we followed the meaning of the sign and dug 5 yards away to the right of it...we found an entrance about 2 feet from the top, covered with a huge rock...project is still going on.
