These are from different places. The characters are real and have a very good meaning for those who know the letters. This was posted to see how many really know some of the signs. thank u for ur input.

You're most welcome. But here's a fly in the ointment: how many would actually reveal what they knew about the signs IF those photos  were really signs? Food for thought. Wink

You could be right about some of the people. I tend to be more positve with people. I know part of what they mean. I wanted some viewers to see what a good sign at a treasure site looks like. Some u have to really use ur iminigation to make up a sign that dont exist. Probably the only person who knows the complete story is the one who put it there. thanks.

Kent13 out of sheer curiosity, I'd like to ask you what factors led you to the conclusion that the photos you posted were of signs? True enough, the only person who knows what they mean is the person who made them.

These were areas the japanese occupied, and kept the locals away until the end of the war. These were not there before the japanese came and were there after they left. One was recovered by the government. If u can interept old chinese u will know what one of them says. That was one of six different characters left at one site. The one i posted identifies a certain thing. Thanks.

I understand what you mean, Kent13. There have been other similar places where such things were found after the departure of the JIA from those "forbidden" zones.

When I first saw your photo of the character "ming" (engraving), a whimsical notion crossed my mind. An engraving of the word for "engraving" could have been part of a 3-fold play on the word. That character could have been the 'kireji' (cutting word) of a haiku poem. Cutting word of a poem cut into stone, and the word itself pertains to the act of cutting (engraving)! Ah well...it's just a thought.

I cannot share all the info connected to these. The main thing i wanted some of the hunters to see if it is man made u can see a difference. some are told this is turtle , rabbit or something and u have to use ur imingination to create it, then something is wrong. I attended a map reader one time. Hunters took rocks from their site and the man took pen and drew maps on the rock, and made up story for the hunter to follow. The map drawer ask us to check his site. his map rocks werent any good for him. From our detection he was in a negative area. It was removed many years ago. But he made a living drawing maps on rocks. you be judge of that one.

Of course secrecy and discretion is necessary for this field..and I will not ask you for additional info.  Wink

It's good of you to post photos that are of man-made stone workings. Hopefully some people will benefit from it, and not be so easily swayed into seeing things that aren't there. Too many have wasted their time/money/lives investigating natural scratches and bumps on every stone.

That reminds me of the time I was brought to view a supposed "stone turtle" that had been discovered by a group of orang sungai and tausugs. Despite me saying "Itu batu biasa saja" and "ito ay bato lang" (it's only a rock) several times, they all kept insisting it was a carving of a turtle! It's virtually impossible to make the gold-fevered brain see reality and logic.
