Go Up Go Down

I was wondering aimlessly here in the Philippines and came across this cool looking rock. If anyone could attemt to translate it for me, I would be appreciative. I cleaned off the rock and put black sand on it then wiped it off to show the impressions. DO NOT ASK ME FOR MONEY TO TRANSLATE AND DO NOT ASK ME THE LOCATION!

BTW, It points directly to an old church alter.

If you would like the original larger pic you may email me at donny@peak.org
I am very superized that no one has replied or even commented on the stones. Well, I will be in Japan next month anyway, so I'll see what the japanese say about it.

Comments? OK.

You have a rock with etching due to moss which has since died and left a mark. It's not uncommon. Mosses do not care about altars or about buried treasure. It's just a rock. Not a sign.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

People see what they expect/want to see......you expect/want to see treasure signs, so you'll see them.   By the same token, if I want to see faces in the plywood I'm using, I'm going to see faces in the plywood.

Thanks for the comments guys, even though negative. I am not a treasure hunter, nor am I looking for any. I do however understand geology and erosion. I am well educated through University of Maryland (top 10 in the USA). I am not saying the rock is anything at all, probably is just a rock. However, the X is obviously chiseled into the rock and is probably some kind of old survey marker like you would find in central Oregon. Expanding the mind with curiosity and research is allways fun and healthy. Have fun looking, maybe I'll start looking for that big cache also.

Thanks for the comments guys, even though negative.

The reason no one had made a commit is there are no such thing as treasure signs are markers, and for sure none in the Philippines. Believe it or not people were being nice by not committing.

If anyone could attempt to translate it for me.

If tou thought it was a old survey marker why ask for a translation?

DO NOT ASK ME FOR MONEY TO TRANSLATE AND DO NOT ASK ME THE LOCATION!

Sounds like you have been though this before

No, have not been looking. I'll bring my metal detector next month, should be fun. I'll post anything I do find. I did find a coin stuck in a wall last month. I think it is Chineese, no date, I just threw it in the drawer as usual. I have been metal detecting for about 20+ years around the world, mostly on military posts. The coolest and scariest thing I found was a mortar round in Germany (no, left it in place). So far I have been just getting to know the locals. I can actually walk around for miles now and everyone knows me and nobody bothers me except for the occasional drunk wanting me to buy some rum.

When I found the rock, I searched the internet and found out about the spoils of war here (great military history) and also found most sites are selling garbage and want money for their garbage, that's why I stated up front "Don't ask for money". I hate people who sell false hope. BTW, the rock has probably never had moss on it for atleast 50 years, simply because of it's location.

Think positive everyone and positive things will always come your way and use the negatives as a challenge!

Great site BTW

Maybe try cleaning it well with just soap and water.  Then rub it with black chalk.  Perhaps it will revile something you have missed.

Guess what, I have been chatting with some dude and he ask me if there was a flat boulder in the direction of the arrow at 5 meters. I checked today and there is. The rock is starting to be fun even if it is nothing, I could care less. I'll check out the other rock tomorow. Courious to what my mind will see on it Smiley I love puzzles, even if they are imaginative, keeps the mind active.
