Go Up Go Down

Greetings,

My wifes family has been approached by supposed Japanese treasure hunters who seriously believe that there is gold on their island property in the Philippines, in the past there has been some finds on other properties in their area.

Recently the family asked if I can get them a metal detector from The U.S. that they can utilize for their own search, I'm here because I have no knowledge on this subject so I will try to give you some info on the terrain, its dry, rocky coral, and they have been told that if there is treasure there it is usually buried 4 or more feet deep, sometimes in concrete.

So my question is: Is their an amateur detector that can detect such finds, that you can recommend?

Thank you beforehand. Detecting

There is no detector on the face of the Earth that will detect fantasy treasures.

Your family would be better served using that money for food, clothing and shelter, instead of chasing Pink Unicorns

Rational Observer, I agree with your sentiment, that's why I say in my post "supposed Japanese Treasure Hunters". lol

Regardless, I don't want to take away anybody's fantasy or dreams, I'm just wanting to buy an inexpensive detector that they can use, and later I can use as a hobbyist.

Any recommendations?

Sugarbear, you did'nt say what size targets your after, but if it ie tresure the look at a two box locator,

But if you want a multipurpose machine then by the Garrett GTI2500 with the treasure hound unit then
you will be covered for anything, Ok

look for pulse induction metal detector for high accuracy and better than other type of md. pulse induction ignores miniralized soil and hot rocks. also know your target size. metal detector depends on size of object and deepness. and the working frequency of the md itself.

be aware, all types of metal detector cannot detect yammy treas even gpr's.
