Which beaches here in FL do you all highly recommend as far as metal detecting goes?Any suggestions is greatly appreciated!

From Jacksonville south past Daytona Beach they have found lots of Treasure from the Spaniish Treasure fleet best time is after a storm when things get moved around.

thanks for the info, we also found another old creek here in town, but still have to see since its city land if they allow us to do the creek and area around it, as its a preserve..but looking forward to some beaches real soon..gregg

Good luck, doing the research first helps out alot, it lets ya pinpoint areas that are more likely to yeald great suff.  But then again back in the day the average joe could have dropped a $20 gold piece anywhere in his travels.

If your heading out to a beach in Northern Florida get out early in the morning.  You will not be the only one there...lol...search the area where the high tide came up to down to the water line and even into the water some that is going to be where the old stuff will get deposited.  If your just looking for newer stuff then work the area where the sun bathers were they allways loose stuff...Smiley...good luck and let us know how you make out

thanks, we are thinking of leaving early mid morning saturday as i got that day off, but she has a yard dale early in the am..so after 10am is the earliest , we were thinking st. augustine or somewhere close..as i have to work sunday afternoon, we are staying overnight till sunday where ever it may be..ideas??? gregg
