If money no object definately a "Sunray"
It attaches in between stock coil and detector via switch and uses the detectors discrimination.

With a PI detector the coil can be exchanged by a pinpointer ferrite rod .    Cornelius

The Garrett Propointer is on my most wanted list.  I am presently using one of the Cen Tec units from Harbor Freight which is pretty good for $15.  One reason for a separate pinpointer is I dont have to worry about getting another to match a new machine if and when I by another MD.

Hi d.p.swing, If you look into the hole with a torch, you should see a small slot or cross inside, if you put a small screwdriver in the slot and adjust that it should work in the same way as the original adjuster.

Hope it works Ok, Mike.
