Now that's a new twist. I've never found a key before. I was at an elementary school last Thursday and instead of sand, they had that large-chunk bark in place, which was still OK for me. I found nothing but trash there and it really was disheartening. I was walking back towards the car, and just for fun - there was a medium sized tree next to a fence so I though I'd scan that, and got a really strong hit! However, I couldn't for the life of me get that thing (whatever it was) dug out from the tree  Angry
I'm tempted to return back to the school and try again, now that I've got the propointer! Smiley

It depends on the rules and regulations of school. You must consult them first before doing this thing. If the school is allowing you to do this, ensure that you clean everything after you done.

Schools that are inside city limits are also goverend by city ordances , sometimes not allowing metal detecting. Check your city ordances first.
