I am keen to get as much info about potential good detectors. You have said you have the Garrett and I wanted to know what I will need to spend on a new detector/

Wow. Talk about diverse questions here in the same topic. The answer to both is to study your detector or your choice of detector by reading the instruction manuals. You can experiment and even take someone else's advice and there's no guarantee that it will result in a better function.

Your depth is not dependent on your detector alone. Other factors outside of your machine will affect it and the more you learn about how your machine works, the better you will be. It will also inform you of your choice before you purchase it.

Colin, in the future, you would be better served to start your own topic to ask such a question.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Hi colin the most you need to spend is about 4- 500 quid to get one heck of a machine and if you get stuck on what dealers are telling you, send me a PM and i will tell you whats what so you don't get sucked in
