Hey Dell?I have used a knock off of the Ominitron. I have also used 7 other MFD?s and LRL?s. They all worked but some are just better than others. The biggest problem I have found with them is that they work to good. They all love Micro Gold. The biggest problem I see is that the Operator?s do not understand what they are finding....Art

Hey Steve?.I said it was a problem. I did not say that there was not a way around it. The only way to get rich is to work hard. I am not a self starter so I guess I am lazy?.Art

I agree. Roughly 93% of the soil & rock samples I have had tested for Gold, contained micron Gold. Over the years there have been thousands of so called "empty" holes dug containing micron Gold. It's a very common problem with this method of locating. Unfortunately, most LRL manufacturers fail to inform their customers of this limitation in LRL  products priced as high as $20,000.

I use a "Weight Chek" module that connects to the Rods, and manually filters out in dialed increments, the "volume" of the "Strength of field" detected with Rods.  This nulls out most of the micron particles, sulphides, and oxidation associated with solid metals  and helps make the distinction between useless targets, and  targets worth pursuing. It sure saves a lot of unnecessary digging.  Dell

Hey Dell?..People have to dig a few hundred so called empty holes before they realize what is happening. Most will never learn. The reason I first came to the internet was to find out how to eliminate Micro-gold.  If you know how to process micro-gold and to check when it is in your bucket you can make some good money from it. I use the weight chex and a body booster to eliminate most of it. Not perfect but better than nothing?.Art
