That would be about a 4+ hour drive for either of us, except on a day like today...  High winds, snow blowing and falling, coming down pretty hard.  Freeway down the Columbia River Gorge is probably a real mess today.  It has already been closed several time this year because of snow and ice and landslides!  Beautiful area but not a winter storm pleasure area!

It supposed to be in the 60s all week here.
When we met with Bill and his wife at the
Diamond mine in Murfreesboro Arkansas i think
It was like 4or 5 hours for him
And wound up being 10 for me.
Cause the Motorhome milage sucks
After 62 mph.

Posted on: December 21, 2015, 12:49:13 pm
But we had a great time.  Didn't find any Diamonds but there's always next time.

4400 feet in the high desert can be uncomfortably cool at night even in summertime!

Yeh, Karl, There's always next time!   Great

There is no Next time .  I'm Planted.  Not bad until the fall.  It can be 90F at 12:00 and  30 at 9:00  PM at Nite.   That's the Issue.   The Deference is the Issue.     While I lived in Tucson that same thing happened.   I dove to work on my Motorcycle in a T shirt and it could be Snowing when I got off at 12:00 Am.  WTH   ?

Well next time Bill and  his wife and me and my wife plan a trip.  Any of you are welcome to go. Bring a camper or rent a cabin or motel room. KOA Kampgrounds have some really great cabins. Not exactly sure if the next trip.is the smoky mountains or Branson or Destin Florida.   Our wives need to get together and set this trip up as Bill and I set up the Diamond mine trip.
