There's no easy way to tell him. Let him get comfortable withbeing at home for a few days, then when there is a quiet time, them tell him.


PS  I wouldn't use the "dead bug" terminology when you tell him. He has to know. Not telling him will make things worse.

I agree with Carl . It's best to tell him out right.
I'm glad your dad is doing well, and so sorry for your wife and her loss.
Been there done that and it's really hard.  Be there for her to lean on.
I am thankful for my family and friends and being able to come here and pour my heart out.
And having you all listen and support me . It really meant alot.
Jim were here for you.  If theres anything we can do just ask.

I feel like a Burk after what happened today.  A Friend came over and took a look at the Caliper.   Just slid it off and said is this what ya Want ?  The bolt I was trying to get off was not a Bolt but a Stud.    Someone else had thought it was a Bolt and rounded it off. In fact it was a Pivot point and good to go.    The caliper was two parts. Just had to replace the moving part.    Hang my Head in Shame and Happy ass hell it' s  over.

Well that's nothing to be ashamed of.  Be glad thats all it was. Congrats on the easy fix.

Pardon me for laughing, Homefire, but that is absolutely hilarious. Any idea why? Because, mate, I have also done something similar only mine was a left handed thread. Worked for days on that baby before a friend pointed out that the thread my be reversed. The really bad part is I could see the thread and once I realized it was reversed, it was plain as day.

We live and we learn. Or, as has been noted, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger.
