Ouchie! I'm still lurking in the shadows here Cache! How did you fare the storm, my friend? We are getting a little cabin fever in Wichita, battened down for the next round.

Hello Poptop, We did'nt get anything like you did.  And we missed most of this storm also. Glad your still checking out the 4th floor. Aluminum recovery has even been slow in this weather! It will be awhile before we can dig around here. Sure looking forward to it though asap! I did buy the Troy Shadow X3 last year but did'nt get out to use it much. I do beleive it will do a better job than the X2's. I kept the X2's for the grandkids. Great little lite turn on an go machines for them. Stay warm my friend....

Hello all,
 Hello

It's been awhile, but I'm still around and getting ready for this great new year of Metal Detecting!
The winter months have given me little time to do much but take care of snow removal, and have kept me inside as I hate the cold now at my young age of around 50. This also has given me time to do some required and needed research of a few areas that I will be hunting out this spring & summer and fall.

I've also been moving my detector stable around a bit, and now have what tools I think I need that hopefully will yield lost treasure to be unearthed under my coils...
 Detecting

I hope that maybe this year we all might have the opportunity to meet at a hunt or GTG, that would be great. I'm sure I'll meet a few of you for sure very soon in upstate NY.

Cheers,
Jim

Hi guys!  I'm just trying to get through the winter here in northeastern Oregon.  Got a few good dumps of snow, but nothing like you, Poptop.  Just got back from 9 days in Hawaii, Big Island.  Had to take a break!  Been snowy and rainy and cold...  ground still frozen.  Can't take the cold much anymore at 66.  And I'm one of those guys that used to downhill ski in blizzards and sub-freezing temperatures!  Can't do it now!  Hurts too much.

Looking forward to Spring...  I have detectors I have to use!

Big Island! How sweet it is. That makes it a little easier to report shirtsleeve weather here this afternoon. snow is all but gone.

here in upstate NY. I think we had 3 back to back storms in about 2 weeks.

LOL, used to downhill ski at all the big slopes in upstate NY and Vt, but those days are long gone from me too. I've got all I can do just removing snow in the winter & swinging the coils in the summer.

So how all you boys doing?

Cheers,
Jim
