GD I am trying to quit, well not trying I have too, or they wont do the lung surgery so I have no choice i gotta beat this . so far doing good.  So guess it's either the patch or the gum but not both.

awsome !          it is a lifestyle change as well tough buisness since i quit i get a little testy when i aint had my coffee  or supper lol! my wife says i am the worst  former smoker cause she still does (like a freight train )  it dont bother me unless we are closed up some where  if i am aroud it outside don't bother me at all   but i would be lyin if i said i didn't still want one from time to time  especially when partakin in a cold beverage  wich i do on occasion  or playin cards .  for a long time a caught my self reachin for em when the werent there  they really control alot of aspects of ones time and daily routines  i kept gettin bronchitis really bad and it would hurt so bad to cough  (felt like it was tearin somthin out of my chest )  evry year once or twice a year i would go through that the last time i got pnumonia  with it and fainted during a couging spell  i remember falling forward but was parylized couldn't stop my self  scared me and my wife and son  and i said thats it  i was tired of feelin bad the expense and being treated like a second class citizen   forced to go outside then that wasn't good enough you had to go 30 ft away from buildings then that wasn't enough now you cant on the property at work unless you hide in your car  . i should have listened and never started  one of those lessons i had to learn the hard way .my mother was one of the last survivers of a lung transplant out of 15 people who had them done at the university of ALABAMA BIRMINGHAM in the early90's . at first i wondered if it was worth it for her to go through all the surgery treatment and experimental drugs  but i didn't want to loose her either it bought her 15 yrs  and she got to see alot of granbabies born she was one helluva fighter and one of the inspirations for me to give it up .  so ya'll hang there it will get easier and if my mom was here she would tell you the same . Wow Josey , Sounds Like your Mom was quite the Fighter !!

Man i have been doing the same the last couple of years with the bronchitis and pneumonia actual the pneumonia lasted from, Nov just about all the way though Dec this last year kept me on steroids and shots etc, so if this stops all that then its well worth it. I hate being sick and each year it seems to get worse.
