Just curious, If you had won the lottery and could buy any MD for water/beach and land. including under water detecting. Just one detector, which would you choose ?

My Garrett Sea Hunter does me good service. I'd stick with it.

Since I only have experience with that machine, I'd buy every other one that was designed for underwater use and compare them. Then I'd be able to give you a more qualified answer.

Now send me lots of money and you will get a much better answer. I like the way you think, mate.

It's all about that magical moment of discovery when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

The "true" brits (not the celts Grin ) would have a field day.    If I won, I'd have to hire one or more of the pros here to design and build an all purpose MD for me that would allow me to switch between VLF and PI, if not on the fly, then at least with minimum adjustments (I suppose once I paid for it, I'd be back to where I am today money, wise)
