Go Up Go Down

Years ago, we call the skunk the Striped cat.

They never bothered us camping, just scrounged for some food.

We would feed them, walk up to them and never got sprayed.

In 1973 my buddy Buddy Bristle, was camping out with his father .

All was good.

He Awoke with a SKUNK chewing on him in his sleeping bag.

The father BUDY BRISTAL ahead of the southern end of Arizona Fish and Game, did every thing RIGHT!

Killed the little blite, Bagged and taged it.

Took it to the U of A  University of Arizona to be tested.

Yep . Rabid!

They put little Buddy through the shots thinking all would be well!

In two weeks he started showing symptoms.

Dad being a state official, they went the extra mile.

They found a person that had been bitten by rabbit animals 6 times working in animal control.

They tried to take Plasma from him and give it to my Buddy.

In the end All they could do was Subdue him to the end.

I my self will Never, Never Sleep on the Ground Again.

I was 11 and He was 12.

We camped out plenty of times.

Not trying to hijack the thread but there was a 7 year old kid in the UK that lived after contracting rabies.

His family went the France on a one day trip.

He got Bat Bit and came down with it.

He had it and some how his body fought and won.

The only case I know of a human getting and living.

 Great

Go Up Go Down

I have three Dogs.

Being the original Poor boy, I did not give them there shots.

One came down with Distemper.

Then the Next and last.

The Coyote Mix got it so bad he went into Grand Mall seizures.

I was ready to hand him a pork chop and a #4 shot shell. Via Shot Gun.

I injected all with Amoxicillin, 4x Dose over the next few days .

They got better.

One dog just was sick.

The second dog had blood running from the nose and was sick as hell.

Coyote was Seizing chewing on his shoulder no Idea where he was kinda sick.

The Vet here would have put them down.

Try animal hair....I know people put wolf hair around their garden to keep away deer. They get the hair from the local vet or dog groomers ( mix breed dogs as some have wolf in them). That in mind I would think the natural predeter for the mole could be fox... I'd start with a predeter hair..dog etc...
