Whoops!!!  Einsteinian stumble. I neglected the fact that % is a decimal number. So that would be 122 F.   Embarrassed

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

Egor and I went back to the laboratory and asked mr. Frank Enstein (our boss) about it. He said heat index is measured by temp and humidity, or temp and dew point. Then a regression formula is used to find the index. If  the humidity is less than 13% or the temp is greater than 80 deg F then a correction formula is used on the result. That's when Egors brain blew a fuse and his lights went out. Forget regression my idea is simpler, like me and Egor.

Ok.  Hope you don't mind if it takes a few months to get there.

Struth Mate, I hope you got a Good Pair of Boots and a Parka, Over here I have always been cold So I bought some heavy Duty Cold Weather Gear, So Its Not an Issue Now,  But just before I left OZ it was 43*c in my bedroom at night,
But Like the US, Because Australia is so Big you can find a more suitable Climate If you want to Drive for A Day or Two.

That's just what I'm going to do. Heading to Florida. That's if the wind dies down and the #$#@$ blizzards quit coming once a week. Even when ya get a sunny day, the airlines can't find any aircraft to use or the crews are snowed in somewhere else....! Last night got called out to a substation where a 22 MVA transformer decided to trip off. The temp was so low the already low oil shrunk enough to trip off the unit. The wind was around 25 mph and the temp was -8F (-22C). I use Sorels. Great boots. Heavy duty rubber with 1/2" special insulated liners.   Trouble is my fingers got frostbit one time in Korea and now the cold really smarts the ole pinkies. That's it...... the dual field just went into the suitcase......
