Hey ArfieBoy,
Thanks for the reply my friend, appreciated.
I've only used it about 4 times since I got her, she is like new and hits the good sounds easy along with hearing the low wide field buzz which is like a threshold you can hear through. I have made some good finds with her & from what I have read, this machine should rocket on the beaches of the east coast and even Texas and gulf of Mexico regions.
Cheers and your sons will love that gift!
Jimmy

| Congratulations on the new Fisher, Jim! I've had a Fisher 1235-X for years. I does a great job. I'm giving it to my son and grandson for Christmas this year. I have really liked it. Simple to tune (turn it on) and go! Have great fun with it.

Hi Poptop,
Greetings!
Yes I do think there a great detector, they sure can find anything, and while they are great units, it takes alittle while to understand its unique language but it can be easier to see and understand by reading the various post on the internet about the types of sound and signals they give off. If you want to learn this detector which really isnt that hard as long as you read the manual and see through the sentances at the meaning of its various signals which is low tone light fuzz signal similar to what I would say as just threashold, then you can pick it up fast.
It's truely unaffected by mineralization and magnetic ground, its like variable ground balanced all the time & tracks with no problem at all. They are great on beaches too I have read.
If you can score one at a reasonable price, you better grab it since they are scarce to find today and are still in high demand.
Good luck & Congrats,
Jim

Hi Karl,
Long time no see Sir. Glad to have you back too!
Thanks, she's a great unit and capable of anything any detector made can find. These are quite possibly the deepest reaching detectors ever made, very high power signal at the freq. they transmit at, which just shoot & pound the signal into the earth!
Yep, they love iron, but you get used to the sound of it & can bypass it and still hear the goodies signals come through the buzz of the ground or junk at the same time.
Cheers & Thanks my friend,
Jim
