Mballard....Thank you!

Hello Steve....Yes it is a genuine G.M>

Goldnboy...Thanks!  I am planning on going back out for another hunt within the next couple weeks. Right now it is super hot and we will probably be hunting with the temps running near 100 degrees give or take. Can you say tons of water hiked in to the hunting grounds! It is nice in the woods this time of year if you can just stay somewhat cool and protected from the beating sun. I will post some pics from the next hunt.  Remember when your in doubt of a possible meteorite, take it home with you and study it later.  It can never hurt.

Thanks all!                Ironman

yea.... I'll chime in too!.... That's an awesome find! I don't think meteorites are allowed here in CT Sad  Gonna go meteorite detecting one of these days. Even got a slick magnet I appropriated from an old Westinghouse relay.

So how does Connecticut stop meteorites from dropping there? Does the governor stand on the "bridge" and say, "Set shields on full!"

Bugar,    How the heck are you! Hows the weather where your at these days? I made it out for a hunt on Wed and had some luck. The weather was hot!!! The clouds moved in around 1400 hours and then the rain hit. I got soaked as the thunder and lightning put on a great show! I am going to post pics of my finds tonight.

James...sorry about the old post. I have been super busy and don't have much time to respond frequently to the forum. Thanks for the kind words! Much appreciated!

Mudflap...Thanks!!! Just spend some time researching meteorite falls in Connecticut. I bet you have had some falls and may possibly be able to hunt some of the known fall areas. You never know. The magnet from your relay may not be strong enough. Try purchasing a Rare earth Neodymium magnet. They are awesome for hunting meteorites!! Just be extremely careful with handling them!

Thanks all!!      Ironman

Thanks ironman. Looks like the last one that hit Connecticut landed in someone's living room in Weathersfield, Ct. Will do some more research. Thanks for the magnet info. Aren't the Neodymium magnets very brittle?
