It's a rock on the ground, it's a specimen when you take it home.

Yes, I'll dig some out and let you take a look.
I once lived in an apartment complex and had about 50 of them gathered up by the grounds keeper right off my back porch and thrown away. He said he thought they were stones thrown there by kids.
Sure, after all they were wrapped up in news paper and in a box.
He also disposed of a Calcite geode about a foot across that I found while excavating a road bed. About a 20lb stone.
There was also a species of Coral that I never got identified it was a horn about 12" across. Thrown there by kids!!!!!!!
Found the coral while taking a look at a mosasaur washing out in Wolf City Texas.
My specimens were never recovered.

A lesson learned. I did not believe him and the manager covered for him. We vacated the unit as soon as we could.

I'll get back as soon as I can with some of the trade specimens "Crabs" all I have to do is get them out of storage.
