Weird, I have never seen a meteorite explode green... until just recently. I was driving home from Idaho and spotted it due north of me.

yeah this thing left a trail of fire and glowed green the entire way in.  do you know how you even go about looking for these?

My understanding is just start looking. Go to the prospectingchannel.com and there is a video there about meteor hunting. I have never hunted meteors, but that was sort of my start into treasure hunting and gold prospecting. My uncle was all about hunting these things, but didn't have any experience. We made a field trip out and that is what got me started. I don't think there is any real science to it, just cover lots and lots of ground. I think I will hit some of these wheat fields surrounding me as one was found by a farmer years ago.

Happy Hunting

Sean

Not a problem. If you ever find one you should send me a sample as a tip for the great... well you get the point. BTW if I ever make it out to Utah, I sure would mind meeting up with you and doing some detecting.

Good luck

Sean

heck yeah, you let me know when you're going to be in my neck of the woods, and we'll be sure to link up and i'll show you some very historical spots to check out, or there's one old pioneer homestead that i'm working, where the owner way back when buried a cache of 20 gold pieces somewhere on his land.  the land owner told me to tear it up and find what i can, because he knows for a fact that the gold is not just legend, and the land is about to be developed.  just let me know when you're this way, and we'll make a day or two out of it
