It seems the Park is loosing money.

Back in the 90's I installed a Dish Net Work TV Sat system to the Care Takers house.

Just a Small House.  4 Bed Rooms, Three Bath.

Two Outbuildings.

Typical New Mexico Scam.

The Guy that was there at the time is now under indictment selling Weapons to the Mexican Cartel.

He moved jobs to the Columbus  town ship

Check this out.

Half the Officials in the very town that Pancho Via did his thing seems to be working for the Drug Cartels.

Glad that it looks like the park was saved.   Any members in the area or even passing through who have any interesting in rock collecting should show their support by making a trip out there.

As for the caretaker's indictment and the story about the city officials in Columbus......having been to both places neither story is much of a surprise.

Homefire, I read both articles and the they were not connected except by the city. How did you find out that the former caretaker was involved in gun smuggling? I wonder If those are the same guns purchased in the ATF Fast and Furious gun deal? I've been following the Fast and Furious controversy for some time now. Do you have any more information? gambol

This place is part of the problems.

Take some time, look up all the corruptions going on in the schools, Police and local gooberment.

They call this place New Mexico and the Mexicans take it literally.

NEW MEXICO>  LOL!

They Own Southern California.

Halve of Arizona.  Go to South Tucson and take a look!

Not speaking Spanish, Jobs are not to be had here.

I'm not prejudice, they are!  Reverse Discrimination on the march.

Last Time I checked the Constitution of the United States was Written in 6th Grade English.

Why don't we have all Federal Documents written in French, German, Arabic and Italian?

When you get a Letter from your kids school and have to turn it up side down to read English, Something is wrong.

Homefire, I didn't realize you lived there. I spent 10 years in Wichita Falls Tx. we took several trips to NM. Two to Carlsbad, one to Bandalero/Taos area and one to Western NM. I guess when you live that close to the illegal drug trade it spills over into every aspect of life. We need to hire the South Koreans to guard our borders. In one month illegal traffic would stop. They know how to do it. When I was there I saw the way they handled insergents meaning smugglers and terrorist. They gave an opportunity to identify. Then they shot.

Have you heard about the Fast and Furious thing?
