Well just goes to show you should leave little birds alone

Well, what can you expect? I was a teenage boy at the time which means I was barely human. Wink Since then I've learned to appreciate birds more inasmuch as I have mulitple bird feeders, bird baths, and hummingbird feeders in the back yard. If I didn't spend so much on bird feed, I could have purchased a Garrett AT Gold detector.

Best of luck with your quest.

When the AT Pro turns up drop a similar ring on the ground and swing at it from all sides, turn the ring at angles and swing again, that way you will learn the signal and know what to look for.

While your waiting for the AT Pro to arrive, read the manual on line and go to Garrett's site and watch the videos they have there, knowledge is power.

Once again best of luck.

T

I live in Edinburg, Tx

According to MapQuest, you are about 400 miles from here, but it looks like you are not too far from Sabine Pass. Have you ever done any relic hunting There?

Howdy,
Sabine Pass is more than 400 miles from Edinburg.  Edinburg is located in the Rio Grande Valley between Brownsville and Laredo...next to McAllen.
I have not detected at Sabine Pass.

Go Up Go Down

I received my Garrett AT Pro today. Now I'm going to start digesting the owner's manual and doing some bench testing for several days before I go out for real.
I need to get it registered, and I'm wondering which of the two numbers on the label is the serial number. There is a number 523xxxxx, and a number GG13xxx. Will one of you long time Garrett users set me on the right path por favor?

Thanks,

Michael

The 523xxxxx number should be the serial number.

I am on a mission to find my Mother's class ring that I was wearing and lost over 50 years ago.

Well, I talked to the wife of the property owner where I lost my Mother's ring. Her hubby was at work, so she phoned him and asked him for permission for me to run my Garrett AT Pro over their place. He told her that he would call me that evening to discuss it with me. That was two days ago and I haven't heard from him yet. Cry I'm going to give him a few more days and then I will try again to contact him.

Just keep at it mate and I'm sure that he'll give you the go ahead or perhaps he's trying to find it himself.
