My bet is that rock contains some sort of metallic element , last year here in Australia a guy using a detecter found a large rock that gave off a big signal , it just looked like an ordinary rock , he lugged it home broke it up and recovered 14.1 KILO'S of gold . Sometimes a rock is just not a rock . cheers Mick
