Hello All

BA I agree with you all little bits of of information may help in determining the best scenario of what may of occurred.

Welcome back Xavier.

Here is a Photograph medical corps of the United States army mission in Liberia. Just a few lines quoting about the poor health in the region etc...

Another factor to consider.

Go Up Go Down

we reached a point where the development of the rest of the information was going to need more time chasing down than any of us could afford at the time.  A lot of the information we need to move on is not readilly available via the internet.   I think all of us have it on the "back-burner" but life has taken precedence for the moment....
........I think, though, that if any of us (or anyone else reading the thread) comes up with another piece of the puzzle that pushes the investigation along, the team will quickly reassemble.

good enough!
love to watch it unfold, and provide any help along the way...sounds like its on the right track, and i fully understand the 'limits' of the web, and time and logistics involved in actual field research

appears to have been on such a good roll, will keep it in the back of my mind!

Hello Foolsgold

I am please you had some enjoyment in reading the posts.

BA is correct. Definitely on the backer burner but not forgotten. It gets to stage where we need some deeper archival resaerch. Time and commitment factor have to be considered. As you can see with many of my posts I have researched many treasure stories from around the world as with others Here. And all in various stages of resaerch.

If you like to resaerch them please feel free to continue as anything you contribute may add to the valuable research being done, by dedicated members who have taken their time to research and contribute to this Forum.

This input of research by members is what make the forum all the more interesting.

Hardluck

Go Up Go Down

Hi:

I am trying to post information about this incident, but when I press submit I get a blank screen and no post.
O.K. It actually worked this time.

I am a genealogist who came across a monument to John M. Weaver in a local Mount Juliet, TN cemetery (yes, I hang out in cemeteries).  I didn't realize at the time that there is no body under the headstone.  I then went to the local library that has a great local genealogy collection and I found several large file boxes donated by a sister of John M. Weaver.  John M. Weaver was a Finance Officer aboard the aircraft that held the gold and silver and seventeen men.  The US never did justice for these families and I can tell you that the Weaver family were great patriots and remarkably learned for their rural surroundings.

I believe there was a cover up.  Please keep me posted.

Regards,

Hi Justshill

Welcome to thunting

I have been on this missing C47 for quite some time now and let me tell you that there are a lot of unexplained things about this disappearance for one there is no cargo listing and unless I'm mistaken things have been removed from the net.

Regards Xavier
