They relabel them, TabDog. They're good headphones. I have a set in a box somewhere but use my new RPG phones.

Rat Phones would be nice.

Do you mean "role playing headphones"?

If so, poor you... lol

Some times More Money is not the Answer!

Some times simple is better.

Some times, Its just a matter of adjusting your technical!

Better Head Phone are not going to make you a better finder if they don't work for you!

I hate having my head swished by head phones.

I can't take the chance of not hearing something going on around me.

We have people around here that would ROB you blind or take your truck if your to busy!

Yikes! My own headphones just took a sword and swung it at me! What do I do?

Hang on. I have some magic in my pouch here and a few extra life points.

It's just a cheap pair of Taiwanese headphones that use rare earth magnets in the speaker. They are essentially the same as the Garrett phones with a straight cord being the difference. I have three sets of curly cord phones that all need repair because of the stress on the cord. The last one failed during a great hunt and that annoyed me to the point of getting them with no curly cord.

I have not used that particular set.

But, I have used other Whites and Garrett cheap head phones
and they all suck.

I have spent hundreds of dollars on cheap headphones. But that
stopped when I got good ones. I have saved a lot of money getting
the good ones.

I am a single parent on dissability. I know about "no extra money".

But my Killer Bs save me money.

If Im lyin Im dyin,

Tabdog

If they are Killer Bs or a good set, thjey fix them for free.

or you can get the ones that you can just change the cord.

Oh, by the way, the good coiled cords last longer,

Tabdog

These were monaural sets from an old language instruction course like the Berlitz courses. They are from a big box of them that I got from a local auction. Very good quality - all brand new in boxes - and ruggedized for use by students in high school. The cords on all of them wore out near the earphone area. Rather than just grab another pair, I selected the straight cord which now sees almost no stress along the cord. The phone quality being rare earth pure is just a bonus.

Go Up Go Down

My headphones seem just fine to me.  In fact, they don't even feel made cheaply.  I haven't used them enough to determine if they are bad headphones, or good headphones.  That, I will explore with experience, and possibly go down the road less traveled by.

I think, as this may be opinionated, that there is a vital technique that marketers and large business companies do alike.  Slap a price on a headphone, for example.  They might say "These headphones can search the deepest, detecting all the tiniest of whispers, so that you won't miss that gold coin!!".  It is a very good technique.  They avert the consumers attention to these 'better' headphones, while taking away the attention from the 'lesser' headphones.  They frighten and manipulate people into their products.  That way, the lesser headphones are forgotten and never seen again.  Then, no one will never know what really is the 'better' choice headphones.  You are frightened that if you use the cheap headphones, you are missing out on all the deep signals.

No matter what the smaller business do, the looming shadow of the bigger business will block them out forever, stealing their possible customers.  Not all, but most of the customers.

Detriment takes a big role in this situation.  They call their headphones more 'quality', when in fact sometimes that only difference between the two headphones is the price tag.  It makes the more priced headphones seem the most vital to buy, when you have bought cheap headphones.  It then scares and manipulates you into the high $ headphones, keeping that grasp on you that that large company needs for survival.

However, that is my two cents.  It is strictly opinionated, possible or non-possible.  Its a dog eat dog world in the business world.  Never believe pricier is better, until you are sure that it is.

Or, trial and error.  Repeat, repeat and repeat.  Get reviews, study them.

Strictly opinionated!!

Homefire.
I kinda like your idea. I hunt alot of river islands- there are bear, coyetes and such with the squawk of the minelab sovereign sounding like a wounded animal or crying baby- there is always a possibility.
