Will give unbiased evaluation when unit arrive.Say in about two weeks.

Sounds fair to me. I always like to know how the other machines on the market perform and especially in Mineralized soil.

Hi everyone:OK,the verdict is in.I just got finished testing the Mikron Pulse Master Pro.To my surprise,it does not pick up coins or jewelry at all, even when the sensitivity is cranked all the way up.And neither does the Grizzly Twins PI detector. They only pick up large objects. The square 3ftX3ft frames will go deep if you're looking for large caches or meteorites. The 36cm round search coils will detect metal objects about the size of of a small aluminum can over 3feet.Silver coins, gold rings, gold chains and the like it doesn't pick up.I primarily bought these for deep caches.I know for a fact they will detect something large at over 8feet.I tested it.I was hoping the 36cm search coils would be good for salt beach with the PI.It didn't matter on salt beach or land, they just don't pick up coins or jewelry.

The coil is too big for that, what you will need is a coil of 25-28cm

Thanks for the heads up.You know,I was thinking about getting the smaller coil but wasn't sure.Since you mentioned it now.I'll go ahead and order it anyway. When it arrives I'll give my evaluation on it.

You could just make one to play around with all you need to know is the inductance, use 0.5 - 0.8 mm magnet wire (I'm assuming that this detector has a mono coil) this way you'll be able to see more or less the results that you'll get from the new coil.
