Hi
I have been using my old but fine C-Scope 770 for so long and have not been keeping myself updated on the detector market,so I'm not sure if it is wishful thinking or not but is there a modern detector where you can see the shape of the metal you are hunting (like an xray machine) ? It would indeed be clever and probably expensive! :-)

The closest thing to that would be ground penetrating radar and that still won't show the shape.  Detecting

I doubt if it will show you the shape of a single ring shaped/sized object at any depth (especially one at an angle).....so depending upon your dream, you're probably still dreaming.
