You've got some great looking specimens there.  None of that gold traveled far from the source.

California. I live about 1 mile as the crow fly from the Gold Discovery Park in Coloma.

Local gold from pocket mine. Big one was where a bulldozer cut the shoulder of a road out of the hillside and through the pocket mine. Found this piece off the side of the road and 8" down. Rattlesnake the day before told me I shouldn't be down in the canyon creeks poking around. So I owe this one to the snake.

Had buzzworm with spaghetti, does taste like chicken. Grin

Working it slowly. Must give credit to my neighbor who got me started. Even pointed me to the location.

in Mariposa, California, and began the process for etching the quartz based on his recommendation. He was very impressed with the results and we may offer the piece to the Museum to display over the summer months.

I have always paned and sluiced, no more. I really like hard rock gold.

I'd dig square nails for a week just to catch another trophy like this one.

I sent out a couple of request for quotations. No joy so far.

Rough guess?

Did you Etch that one?

I would start with 5 times Spot weigh and take nothing less then 3 time Spot on it.  That may be low .

What's it weigh?

Have you don Specific Gravity on it yet?
