Go Up Go Down

Hi,
I was wondering how I could construct a metal detector that works at 4 inches (10 cm) depth and can still be pretty light.
I am not looking into constructing a handle since it would be added weight.
Till now I only  got schematic of the circuit for a 1 inch at max metal detector.

What should be change to increase depth?

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Hi,
This one is only a couple of components so it's incredibly light.
Also amazingly easy to build, don't be concerned about it's apparent simplicity because it really does work!
I built one of these in a few hours (including winding the coils) just to see if it did what the author claimed.
I was amazed at the depth something so simple would go!
6 or so inches on a 1" diameter coin!
Here's the link...
