After looking around in the stores I've ruled out the soft rifle tote bags.  I found a 32" long tote bag similar to the bounty hunter bag that I am going to line with cardboard and foam rubber with a divider in the middle so that it will accommodate two detectors.

used the soft travel bags once or twice, now i just put the md in the back seat and carry the extras in a backpack(which i don't carry,i leave it in the car,...xtra batteries and such)my travel bag had too small of compartments.plus the travel bag just looks too inviting if someone takes a look in yer car/truck while yer not there

Mine are in the way.  I need a way to store them.  My wife says I look silly watching TV in the evenings with my MD's on my lap.  Hey, I like to look at them, what can I say.   Grin

Go Up Go Down

I bought the longest plain bag I could find at Walmart for $14, then went over to the bedding and bought a twin size roll of foam for $10.  I went home and lined the inside of the bag with stiff cardboard so it would stay up (you know how it is).  Then I lined that with the foam rubber.  Both my REAL metal detectors (not the Micronta) and my pinpointer fit in the bag.  So now I'm happy.  I could have bought a better bag on line and paid $45 but I need instant gratification (you know how it is) and I did not want to wait.  I'll put up a pic if anyone is interested but its really pretty simple looking.  I didn't do a divider in the middle like I thought I would.

Oh, I almost forget.  There's a place here in town that makes vinyl stick-ons like bumper stickers.  I need to get one that says "Aluminum Recovery Technician"  and stick it on my bag.

Good idea, wrapping a couch around the bag.

Get some spray adhesive and attach the padding to the cardboard. then u wont have to worry about it falling or rolling under etc. If  your want to use the adhesive to attach the bag to the couch, i suggest u ask your wife first .  Grin Grin
