Well Darn......I guess I'm just going to have to pull out the camera and take pictures of my compass Yukons and the old White's I got from my father in law 'cause so far Seldom's the only one who's got me beat and he doesn't have any pictures up  Smiley

Ok.....couldn't get to the White's Goldmaster but it is a 66TR and dates to the early 70's as do both of these Compass Yukons.   The one with all the knobs is a Compass Yukon 77B Professional.   The "simpler" one is a Compass Yukon Nugget.   I'm not sure how old either of them actually is, since I bought both of them about 18 months ago (haven't put the new battery packs in yet, but I do know they both air test well).   I did find a 1974 ad for them that listed the 77B at $264.50 and the Nugget at $99.50......so I'd say with all 3 I am in about the same age range as Seldom.

Long gone but had a Heath GD-48 around 1972. Was a real POS. My hunting pal had a Whites Coinmaster and an old Arado that blew the doors off the GD-48. Son of a gun was heavy too!

Actually, that's why I got the Yukons...I just haven't made the time yet to get them up to snuff so I can field test them in the gold fields.   They had a good rep as nugget finders back in the day.
