hard to say. have to see the schematic and the rating on the electrolytic capacitors, etc. Also you will consume more power from the circuit, parts could heat up due to the increase and smoke them. I suggest you simply make a voltage regulator circuit. First you need to know what the circuit draws in the way of current. This should say on the specs. You then design around that. here is one that will do about 1.5 amps using the to-3 style.
