I use the new version and the only reason to be on the net is to download new parts. Otherwise, I love it and you know i have several commercial CAD packages to use if I wanted to. When you import a part from their catalog, you need to be on line. Otherwise, off line works great.

GD can you tell me what net list format you use when importing from designSpark to VeeCad?

Well I did a good thing finding it but I don't seem to be able to use it so well.  Give me time.  I will figure it out.

I down loaded the old version years ago and go befuddled.  Did not now you could import the parts.

I generate a full PC Board package and use the netlist from the zip file. The VeeCad program used to sort out the position information and ignore it.

OK but VeeCad needs to know what program the net list comes from and DesignSpark is not in the list.

A netlist is a netlist. View the content with a text viewer.

You have to do the schematic first then do the import but as I have never done it I'm also struggling a bit with it, GD I know that you have to be on the net for the parts I've been using it since I've joined thunting.com but their latest version will not start up if you are not connected to the net and that sucks. one thing that I really enjoy is creating my own components, it's very simple when you have done it once.

OK found how to get DesignSpark to work with VeeCad. When you start VeeCad you will see the help file, open it then look for DesignSpark&VeeCad open it and just follow the instructions.
