Hey all, completly new to all of this stuff, I managed to get a used
Detector for nothing and of course it doesn't work.
It is a Garrett master hunter ADS III and put fresh batteries
In it, cleaned the bit of corrosion on the battery board and
Still nothing, I am looking for suggestion on a way to
Diagnose this and fix it on the cheap

Thank you in advance
James

Most likely the corrosion has migrated, as it does, to elsewhere on the main board. Most likely, the battery interconnect area. Can you get the machine apart to inspect it on the solder side of the boards? Be very careful. If the wires are corroeded, they can snap off and you'll go nuts trying to get them back where they belong.

Alright upon further inspection I saw that there is no more corrosion
In the board or anything, but I did happen to notice that
One of the terminal on the battery board seems to be broken,
Are those things still available for an older machine line this?
Or even is there is a way i could temporarily fix it?
