If you are in NZ I can do it for you, I was an Electronics Tech most of my working life. In fact I am using an ETI 1500 detector that I built around 30 years ago, still goes like a dream.

Needed to take care of a few other projects in the last week or so.  I think today I may have the time to try and power up the board and check some stuff out.  Without a Proper Tesoro coil at hand I can still try to get the Tx Oscillator to sing and  Inject a test signal through the Rx and see how it acts.

BOY that sounds like a fun time for sure ! Huh?   Did they give you a Lolly Pop for not crying ?  LOL   Dang dude I feel for you on that one.  I've messed up my back a few times enough to not be able to get out of bed for a day or so but Nothing like your going through.

I had a Look at the XR-71 documents last night and seems everything one would need to get it on the road is at hand.  Do you want the Face Plate set up the same way they describe ?

No Frets on the Coil.  Not going any place soon here.   Cool    Don't be giving her the WHAT FOR, Eaa?

I ordered another spool of that .2mm magnet wire today.  Wish they had the .25 (30AWG) but I'll try this.  I already had the one spool but I tend to mess up more then a few times getting places.

I built a TR in the early seventies and the coil called for somewhere like 200 turns of #30. Can't tell ya how many times I had to rewind it and resolder.
