Bit of a Update.

Need to Order More Wire for the TGSL Coil Project.  Will place order by end of today.   The .2mm  (32 AWG) wire I ordered is NOT working out.  It will not allow me to obtain the required  6.5mH inductance with 23 -25 Ohms DC resistance.   Lessons Learned.

Found a new source for wire. Ordering some 30 AWG as I should have in the first place. Prices are more then Reasonable and Free Shipping.

Yep , Same here on the ol Slush Funds.  HAAA Slush Funds.  Maybe we can get a loan from Congress?   Grin

That's cool.  I need to figure this out in any event.  I'm ordering enough wire for Two coils as described in the 101 document.

One of the Spars carrying the Tx wires had a crack in it.  Guess it broke the wires.  That why I couldn't get anything other then Capacitance reading from the Pins.  That does not explain why the Rx was open.   I'm still picking at them trying to expose enough wire to play with.   Don't look Promising.

I bought several multi color hook up wire sets from Remington Industries. They are fast to ship. Never tested the wire, however, it works just fine. Looks ok

OK, Back at it.  Got side tracked on a few things.

Decided to go ahead and try the .2mm (32AWG) wire after reading on the Geotec Forum someone used it with reasonable results.

DC Resistance goes up but it seems with little consequences.  Here are some basic numbers but sense I'm going with a 1" or so smaller form I will need a few more wraps or turns of wire to meet the uH numbers.

The As Build :

Diameter: 255mm x 137 mm (one coil)
Wire size: .25mm (30 AWG) enameled
Tx inductance: 6.0mH
Tx resistance: 18 – 25 Ohms
Tx resonance - About 14.5 kHz
Rx Inductance: 6.5mH
Rx resistance 18 – 25 Ohms
Rx resonance with 15nF – About 16.1 kHz

Attempted Build:

Tx
30 (AWG)      Wire Resistance:  24.378 ohms
Gauge   32 (AWG) 236.22ft  Wire Resistance:  38.764 ohms

Rx
30 (AWG) 216.53ft Wire Resistance:  22.346 ohms ohms
32 (AWG) 240ft = 39 ohm

My set up and Deviations marked in red on coil plan.
