Hello everyone, went fishing last week and found these two points. They were found on private property and I had permission of the owner. The fish were not biting so I walked the small plowed field beside the pond an found these two points.  Cool

Go back soon. The best time is after plowing and after a hard rain.
I guess you may already know this bit of advise.

Have you found them there before or was this a first time at that spot?
Congrats, are you a regular collector and what part of the country do you occupy/hunt?

I'm in Texas and find them with some regularity.
I like the smaller of the two.

Go Up Go Down

Hello Out4gold, This was the first time hunting this spot and the conditions were not very good. Since then there has been some really hard rain storms and I plan to go back in the morning and search it again I am from South Carolina and use to find allot of points. I guess I had around 250 various point but I gave them back to the local Indians to display in their museum. Finding them now is getting harder because very few farmers turn the ground like they use to. The just spray the fields with herbicide and liquid fertilizer and use a grain spike to plant now. I got my eye on a spot that is being strip cut of the timber and it parallels a swampy area that will be perfect for hunting. All I have to do is get permission.
                                                                                Thanks for looking, Jere

Great finds Jere29555

I imagine that it would take a well trained eye to find them?

Regards Xavier

What part are you from? I live about 50 mile inland from Myrtle Beach.

Hi Xavier, Stevie Wonder could have found these. They were laying in plain sight on top of the dirt. Most of the time you will only see the ends or a small corner poking out. I carry a pointed stick and flip everything that doesn't look like dirt.  Cool

I still think one has to have a trained eye for these. I go out looking with my friend and he always finds some and I get skunked! Maybe there is a list of hunting tips somewhere......
