Howdy Tony,  Get a used copy of Stanley Payer's book called Nevada Ghost Towns and Mining Camps.  This is the only book you will need.  It has all the ghost towns and he tells you the history of each town along with the dates it lived and died.  Detect the ones that were active in the time the Carson City Mint was active.  I found a couple of those old coins but both had been run over by horses, mules and ore wagons ha.  Read the history of your area, it is rich in treasure lore.  Get to know the old timers in your area, they can tell you where to go.  Stanley Payer use to visit the rock shop that was on the main drag in Fallon NV about 18 years ago.  The man who owns the place is a wealth of information about the desert and history if he is still alive.  You need to see the museum in Fallon NV too.  Good luck
