Homefire , I read thru it , and I didn`t see where it has changed , they are still going to let you file the small miners waiver and pay $10 dollars for 10 or fewer claims . but I`m an Okie and sure don`t want to get this wrong , what did they change ?
Thanks David

If I lived in las cruces , I would spend all my time down at Oro Grande , don`t let those old timers fool ya with their stories , I have actually saw a 1 ounce nugget come from down there ! and so did the border patrol gaurd we ran into way back on a back road down there lol he told us they find big gold down there all the time ! not only that , but the mountains east side of alamagordo turn red every evening as the sun goes down , I could live there and look at that sunset every night from now on ! sometimes the "gold" doesn`t come from the ground , sometimes it`s all around us if we just look for it !

There is NO more mention of the Ten Assoiciated claims.

Now you have to pay for every Claim.

SEC. 430. Section 10101 of the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation
 Act of 1993 (30 U.S.C. 28f) is amended-
 (1) in subsection (a)-
 (A) by striking so much as precedes the second sentence
 and inserting the following:
 ''(a) CLAIM MAINTENANCE FEE.-
''(1) LODE MINING CLAIMS, MILL SITES, AND TUNNEL SITES.-
The holder of each unpatented lode mining claim, mill site,
or tunnel site, located pursuant to the mining laws of the
United States on or after August 10, 1993, shall pay to the
Secretary of the Interior, on or before September 1 of each
year, to the extent provided in advance in appropriations Acts,
 a claim maintenance fee of $100 per claim or site, respectively.'';
 and
 (B) by adding at the end the following:
''(2) PLACER MINING CLAIMS.-The holder of each
unpatented placer mining claim located pursuant to the mining
laws of the United States located before, on, or after August
10, 1993, shall pay to the Secretary of the Interior, on or
before September 1 of each year, the claim maintenance fee
described in subsection (a), for each 20 acres of the placer
 claim or portion thereof.''; and
 (2) in subsection (b), by striking the first sentence and
inserting the following: ''The claim main tenance fee under
subsection (a) shall be paid for the year in which the location
is made, at the time the location notice is recorded with the
 Bureau of Land Management.''.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SMALL MINER'S FEE WAIVER?

You may file a Small Miner's Waiver (by September 1, 2012) if you own ten or fewer claims and/or sites nationwide and will performed $100 worth of assessment work on your claims for the upcoming assessment year (by December 30, 2013).  All claims, mill sites, and tunnel sites must be listed on the Small Miner's Waiver, AND the Small Miners Waiver must contain the original signatures (preferably in Blue Ink) of all claimants/owners having an interest in the claims/sites.  If an agent signs for any of the claimants/owners, a notarized designation of agent, signed by all claimants/owners must be submitted with the waiver.

**I always just put all my claims on one waiver , do you mean now I would have to fill out a waiver for each claim ?
Thanks David

The Fee is due on each claim.

That's the way I read it. Huh?

Yes sir thats sure what it looks like ! I don`t own any claims now , so all is well here , but I am going to file on that load down in greenlee county , I will definatly have to call and see what else has changed before I do it . locating is not a hard process , but if you don`t stay on top of it , this is what happens , they change the wording and bam , you have lost everything !
Thanks for the heads up , I will definatly check into it .
David

Nothing so far in the Las Cruces area.

I may have misspoke on Oro Blancho and meant Oro Grande.
