Go Up Go Down

 Hello
My Name is David Rightmire and I live in Oklahoma , but my heart has always been in New Mexico !
Lots of gold there and go every chance I get , wich is usually about 4 times a year.
Have located and staked probably a hundred claims over the years and love every minute of it !
Would like to make some friends interested in the whole of New Mexico as a place to prospect .
Or , just swap stories.
David

white oaks is beautiful , sometimes when I go there , I forget to to much prospecting , I just love it there!
But I noticed right off the get go , people keep digging in the same spot right in the wash. and nobody digs out of the wash , so we tried it over a long weekend , and guess what ? GOLD lol . the trick to working up there is to always use wet equipment , drywashers just dont work because the gold is really
small , but if you work it thru a recirculater and then run the cons thru a blue bowl you usually do very well ! I have seen some small nuggets come from there , but they were always deep and even then they wern`t very big. the largest quantity of gold I have seen in new mexico comes from the lordsburg area , about 8 miles east of Duncan arizona , never once have I gone there and got skunked ! if you check out the are , altho I don`t own anything around there now , it was I who staked the golden bell 6 , overburden , 40 mules , buddy boy , and tims tantrum in that region. all were good claims , just too far for an Okie on a weekend.

I havn`t checked white oaks in a while , but last time I did , the 80 acres running east to west just above the gpaa`s "against the wind " claim was open and available , havn`t prospected it , but I have been across it and the claim is loaded with alabaster ! has several good wash-es , but again I never sampled it , I staked the claim 80 acres running north and south , on the west side of against the wind and that is why I know about it . my claim was called "westcache " but I sold it and they let it drop , and then goldseeker re-staked it with a new name so might check both of those out .

then in Grant county , out by the duncan arizona claims , there is a LOT of open gold ground and it is awesome ! a lot of this region is open and virgin because you can`t just get out of your car and dig like these Johnny come lately weekend prospectors want to do . no , if you had a 4 wheeler or a horse , there are millions of dollars worth of gold still layin on the ground(and below the surface) here !
I am pretty good at mulling out open and stake-able ground , if you can give me the coords of an area you are interested in , I would be glad to see what I can find.

On a side note , a lot of people don`t know this , but the cost to stake a claim is just $25 to the county and $185 to the BLM !
I don`t know why people get on that E-auction site and pay thousands for claims that the person selling has never been to !
you can stake your own for under $200 ! and it is not that hard at all !

*sorry , should have said around $200 , not under ...wooops

I've held claims before.

Under the New Rules you have to pay the Fee's for every claim now.

No more getting away with the 10 associated claims.

There is going to be a pile of ground opening up.   Watch.

however , there is this nice little abandoned shaft just across the arizona border , might be worth the effort.
